In December 2014 we broke ground on a new learning centre in Padariya in Southern Nepal. The new building will provide access to education for approximately 300 very poor and underprivileged children from the surrounding villages who would otherwise have very little access to any schooling at all. The construction was completed in October 2015 and the school is now officially open.

Prior to the completion of the school the children were learning in makeshift classrooms that were prone to flooding and often unusable. The poor conditions made learning and teaching exceptionally difficult, the conditions were also a deterrent for teachers looking for work.  Since the completion of the new building grades have gone up across the board and new teachers are in attendance.
