On December the 13th 2018 we broke ground on a new school wing in Bulingtar, Nepal. The school was very badly damaged in the earthquake of 2015 and has been overlooked by government and international aid agencies ever since.

The school was at serious risk of closure and children and teachers were beginning to go elsewhere for education and work often having to walk many treacherous miles through the hills.

We were due to open the new building in September however the area was hit by an unusually harsh monsoon for the 2nd year running which delayed our project by around 6 weeks, due to the location of the building all access was cut off by flooding and the only road was impassable with vehicles.

We officially inaugurated the building in late October 2019 and the children were safely inside their new building on the 1st of November. This project will provide a safe learning environment for 220 deeply underprivileged children.
